The nave (The main body of the church) is an area which historically was used for all kinds of community activities from public meetings to markets!

This is a tradition we honour to this day. With a beautiful timber floor and wide open space, the Edwardian nave is used for all manner of not for profit activities. From our annual craft market to use as a polling station and centre for NHS blood donations, St Andrew's is a place where people gather and a community hub for the whole of Southgate. The nave is regularly used for concerts, large or small. Almost everything in the church is movable so it is an incredibly flexible space. The building is light and the accoustics are very good. We have the capacity for full orchestra with choir and up to 300 in the audience. There is a Father Willis Organ and Bluthner baby grand piano, both of which are well maintained. There are multiple rooms which can be used as secure green rooms and we have excellent toilet and kitchen facilities. We are wheelchair accessible. With the wonderful light from our large Edwardian Windows the interior is ideal for exhibiting art. We have flexible exhibition screens and facilities to serve refreshements.
